Davis Women
In Business
Davis Women in Business is a professional organize at UC Davis that empowers young women to become successful leaders in the world of business. Through DWIB, members find their career direction, develop their professional networks, and set and achieve ambitious career goals.
At Davis Women in Business, we focus on helping our members get to the next level through a tight-knit community of motivated, like-minded individuals and high quality professional development opportunities. Throughout the year, our members are equipped with tools, knowledge, and skills needed to be a successful leader in the world of business. We then further their knowledge of the business world by directly connecting them with companies.
In May 2020, I began serving as the Marketing and Design Board Director. I previously served as a member on the Marketing and Design Board for two years which oversees the marketing and design aspects of the organization. Here, I feature programs, flyers, and stickers I designed and developed throughout my time on board.
Spring ‘20 - Winter ‘21: Marketing & Design Board Direction
When I transitioned into this position in my Spring Quarter, I immediately began planning our Fall Recruitment for the next year. Using Asana and project management, I prepared deliverables and deadlines for my team to begin working on projects throughout the summer.
For Fall Recruitment (2020) I brainstormed a variety of themes but together, we ultimately went with a fruit theme: Bring Your Ambitions to Fruition. This theme takes an elevated approach to our illustrative work and I am thrilled to offer my team opportunities to expand their skillset in design, videography, and social media. I have also developed themed-meeting decks for our weekly All Boards or General Meetings.
I revamped the website by:
Designing and implementing “DWIB Connect” as a new platform offered to our members where they can connect with DWIB Alumni, or current members for career advice, coffee chats, and any information regarding their career or personal interests.
Developing an Events Calendar that includes time, dates, location and graphics provided through our organization for members to easily check when events are taking place.
I can’t wait to see how the rest of this year unfolds and all of the amazing material we will continue to create.
Fall' ‘18 - Spring ‘20
Throughout my two years on the Marketing and Design Board, we further developed branding and consistency within the organization’s Marketing and Design Efforts.
I was able to work on a range of projects including developing a new Branding Style Guide, Business Cards, OWN IT Conference Branding + Flyers, and Recruitment designs, socials, and more.

On the left are an assortment of stickers I created as freebies for those attending our OWN IT Conference!
I drew inspiration from themes and concepts I love — red lips for confidence, empowering women across the world, and of course - a tease quote “That’s what she said”. Through these stickers, I was able to bring together our theme colors, and also our brand’s identity as a confident, supportive organization supporting women of all backgrounds, race and identity.
For OWN IT 2018, our theme surrounded our women super heroes. As so, all of our assets follows a blush pink with dozens of our superheroes! The tote bag I designed drew from women of all backgrounds be it ethnicity, skin tone, hair types, body compositions, etc. and I thought it brought together our unified vision for OWN IT as an all encompassing and supportive women’s leadership conference.
